|---|---|---|---|---|
Five years later in 1863, a tornado destroyed the log church, but a small frame building soon replaced it. This building was placed on the north side of the road where it was used untill 1899.
It was then replaced with a larger frame building.
In 1902, a committee was appointed to solicit contributions for the first church organ. This organ was purchased for a cost of $38.95 including the shipping charge of $3.95.
In 1943, Rev. S.S. Kelly was pastor. At this time, Sunday School rooms were built. The 100th Anniversary was celebrated in 1958 directed by Dr. Harold Bryson, who was pastor. A unique part of this program was the participation of a former 90 year old pastor, Rev. J.A. Landers.
Through out the years there were many hands involved with the growth of this church.
The main constant being The Spirit of the Lord and the open hearts of those involved.
By Caring and Sharing of the Beloved Gospel Of Our Lord Jesus with our fellow man, The Lord has and continues to bless and keep us. We pray for continued growth with those hungry for His Salvation.
